Liv Golf just announced the launch of a free-to-play fantasy game, “Liv Golf Fantasy,” designed to engage fans and build deeper connections with the new golf league, its teams and players.
Fans from around the world can now sign up for or create their own public league, strategically choose their “own team” from the stars of Liv Golf 2023 and follow the action for a chance to climb the global leaderboard and win prizes like access to exclusive events, tickets and merchandising.
The game will continue throughout the Liv Golf League season with prizes up for grabs both for individual events and for the overall result, with odds favoring players participating in all events.
"Liv Golf's new fantasy game is another way we accomplish a core goal of our league: to bring new audiences to the sport through fun and creative opportunities that engage fans around the world," said Greg Norman, CEO and commissioner of Liv Golf. Liv Golf – We are only scratching the surface of the possibilities in team golf and building fantasy teams with the game's biggest stars is a natural connection for fans who enjoy the thrill of team sports and competition with one another."
Liv Golf Fantasy is available to players 16 and older, in over 180 countries worldwide at fantasy.livgolf.com, where fans can create a free account and start building their teams.
To play, fans select a squad consisting of a captain, three additional starters and a substitute. Fans will also select one of Liv Golf's 12 teams to complete their roster. The lower the score of the players and the team, the more points the Fantasy Team will earn.
The Liv Golf League counts great champions among its ranks and among its 13 Major winners stand out the names of superstars such as Brooks Koepka, winner of the 2023 PGA Championship, and Cameron Smith, 2022 Open champion, as well as Phil Mickelson, a member of World Golf Hall of Famer, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Talor Gooch, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, Henrik Stenson, Bubba Watson, Louis Oosthuizen, Graeme McDowell and many more.
